1971–72 India Refugee Relief postal tax and official overprint MNH stamps- Error Stamps Included
The stamps were issued during the Bangladesh Liberation War (1971) when India received millions of refugees from East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). To raise relief funds, the Government of India introduced a compulsory 5 paise Refugee Relief surcharge on most postal articles from 15 November 1971 to 31 March 1973. Initially, existing definitive stamps were overprinted locally, followed later by specially printed Refugee Relief stamps. One stamp has error Double Printing
