India, 1948. Complete First Anniversary of Independence "Mahatma Gandhi" commemorative set, SG 305–308, comprising the 1½ Anna, 3½ Anna, 12 Anna, and ₹10 denominations, offered in never hinged mint (NHM) condition with full original gum. Issued on 15 August 1948, less than a year after Mahatma Gandhi's assassination, these were the first Indian postage stamps to honour the Father of the Nation. Printed by Courvoisier, Switzerland using photogravure, the stamps are unwatermarked and perforated 11½. The ₹10 value is among the most iconic and sought-after stamps of independent India.

Also included is the 1948 Air India International First Flight commemorative stamp (SG 304), issued to commemorate the inauguration of Air India International's Bombay–London service on 8 June 1948. The 12 Anna stamp depicts the Lockheed Constellation aircraft and was valid for postal use only on the inaugural flight day, making it one of the classic aviation issues of India
