1981 “World Food Day” Proof Set with Original Box
The 1981 “World Food Day” Proof Set with Original Box was issued by the Bombay Mint on 16 October 1981 to commemorate World Food Day and highlight the global importance of food security and agricultural development. The set contains four proof coins – ₹100 (35 g), ₹10 (25 g), 25 Paise (2.5 g), and 10 Paise (2.3 g), all struck in high-quality proof finish with mirror-like surfaces and sharp details. The coins were housed in an acrylic presentation case with the official mint emblem and supplied in an outer box. Only about 1,728 proof sets were sold by the mint, making it one of the scarcer Indian proof sets of the early 1980s.
