Rare Rajkot State Silver Mohur of Maharaja Dharmendra Singhji (1930–1948), dated VS 2001 / AD 1945, catalogued as KM# X1a. The obverse features the inscription “RAJKOT STATE” above a rising sun over the sea, while the reverse displays the Rajkot State coat of arms with deer, tridents and the 1945 date. This is the restrike issue, struck in silver with a weight of approximately 5.8 g and diameter of about 20 mm. The present example is an exceptionally attractive NGC MS65+, exhibiting strong mint-state detail, lustre and attractive toning. Coins of this quality are particularly scarce and desirable among collectors of Indian Princely State coinage and Rajkot numismatics.
