India 1969 Mahatma Gandhi Birth Centenary Commemorative Banknote Set – ₹1, ₹2, ₹5, ₹10 & ₹100: A highly collectible set of the historic 1969 Gandhi Birth Centenary commemorative currency issues, one of the earliest Indian banknote series to prominently feature Mahatma Gandhi. The ₹1 note bears the Gandhi commemorative design with the 1869–1948 portrait motif, while the ₹2, ₹5, ₹10 and ₹100 denominations feature Mahatma Gandhi seated at the Sevagram/Sabarmati Ashram-style setting on the reverse, with multilingual denomination panels. The ₹1, ₹2, ₹5 and ₹10 notes in the uploaded photographs are stated to be crisp UNC/Uncirculated examples, while the ₹100 note is XF (Extremely Fine). These notes are particularly desirable as a complete Gandhi Centenary denomination set and are excellent additions to collections of Indian paper money, Gandhi memorabilia and Republic India commemorative banknotes.
