This series belongs to the postal history of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, established after the German occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1939. The 1942 definitive issue replaced earlier designs with engraved portraits of Adolf Hitler and served as everyday postage throughout the occupied territory until the end of World War II. Although historically significant, these stamps are relatively common due to extensive printing and the large numbers preserved after the war. Today they remain popular among collectors of WWII, German Reich, and occupation issues.

These were issued beginning on 1 July 1942 and depict Adolf Hitler from a photograph by Heinrich Hoffmann, engraved by Josef Slejpka. They were printed by Böhmische Graphische Union AG in Prague using recess (intaglio) printing.
Condition Assessment
- All stamps appear MNH (Mint Never Hinged).
- Original gum is present.
- Moderate gum toning is visible on several values.
- Perforations are complete.
- No obvious thins or tears are visible from the scans.
The gum aging is typical for stamps stored in tropical climates for 70–80 years.
