1942 Mercury Dime (Denver Mint)

The 1942 Mercury Dime from the Denver Mint is a classic pre-World War II U.S. silver coin. Denver issues from 1942 can be identified by the absence of a mint mark on the reverse side. The coin is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs approximately 2.5 grams, has a diameter of 17.9 mm, and features a reeded edge. Each coin contains about 0.0723 troy ounces of pure silver.
