Edward VII 1906 Silver 2 Annas Calcutta Mint No Mint Mark GK 983 – Uncirculated, Very Scarce British India Coin
British India, Edward VII (1901–1910), Silver 2 Annas, 1906, struck at the Calcutta Mint (no mint mark). Obverse features the crowned bust of King Edward VII facing right with the legend EDWARD VII KING AND EMPEROR. Reverse shows the crown above TWO ANNAS INDIA, surrounded by a floral wreath, with the date 1906 below. The coin is listed as GK 983 and is a scarce early Edward VII silver denomination. The example in the photograph appears to retain strong detail and considerable original mint lustre, consistent with an Uncirculated/Choice AU–UNC grade
