1947 Burma ₹10 Banknote – C. D. Deshmukh – Burma Currency Board Overprint – George VI – Reserve Bank of India

Rare 1947 Burma Ten Rupees banknote issued by the Reserve Bank of India and signed by C. D. Deshmukh, Governor of the RBI. This historic Burma Currency Board issue features King George VI and the distinctive red overprint “BURMA CURRENCY BOARD / LEGAL TENDER IN BURMA ONLY” across the central portion of the note. The banknote retains its green serial numbering and features the attractive sailing boat/dhow vignette on the reverse along with Burmese and other Indian-language inscriptions.
