This attractive lot comprises six George VI Silver Quarter Rupees (¼ Rupee) from the British India series, featuring two distinct mint and type combinations: four coins dated 1940 from the Bombay Mint (Head Type II, Rev I, Dot, Milled edge) catalogued as GK 1327, and two coins dated 1942 from the Calcutta Mint (Head Type II, Rev II, No Dot, Milled edge) catalogued as GK 1329. All coins feature the portrait of King George VI on the obverse with the standard wreath and denomination design on the reverse, representing wartime-era issues with clear mint and type distinctions. The Bombay Mint pieces display the dot variety with Rev I design, while the Calcutta Mint coins feature the no-dot variety with Rev II design, making this a highly desirable mixed variety group for specialists. Graded from Almost Uncirculated (AU) to Uncirculated (UNC), the coins retain strong detail, attractive original surfaces, and good mint luster. Scarce as a complete matched lot, this set is a valuable addition to collections of British India coinage, George VI silver denominations, and advanced mint-and-type variety series.
