A historic Mint Never Hinged (MNH) complete set of the first commemorative stamps of Independent India, issued in 1947 to celebrate the nation's independence. Popularly known as the "Jai Hind" issue, each stamp bears the inscription "जय हिन्द" (Jai Hind) and the date 15 August 1947, symbolizing the birth of a free India.
