shows the Australian coat of arms with a kangaroo and emu supporting the shield
beneath the Commonwealth Star, along with the denomination “SIXPENCE.” Coins of
this type were issued during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The 1954
Australian sixpence was struck in 50% silver and 50% copper-nickel alloy,
weighs approximately 2.83 grams, has a diameter of about 19.4 mm, and features
