1948 Roosevelt Dime from the Philadelphia Mint

The 1948 Roosevelt Dime from the Philadelphia Mint is one of the early Roosevelt silver dimes issued shortly after World War II. Because it was minted in Philadelphia, the coin normally carries no mint mark. It is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs approximately 2.5 grams, has a diameter of 17.9 mm, and contains about 0.0723 troy ounces of pure silver. The obverse features President Franklin D. Roosevelt, while the reverse shows a torch flanked by olive and oak branches representing liberty, peace, and strength.
