The Mexico Silver 25 Pesos, 1972 was issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Benito Juárez, one of Mexico's most respected presidents and a key figure in the country's liberal reforms. The reverse features a detailed facing portrait of Benito Juárez with the inscriptions "VEINTICINCO PESOS" and "LEY 0.720 Mo 1972", while the obverse bears Mexico's iconic coat of arms depicting an eagle holding a serpent atop a cactus. The edge is inscribed "INDEPENDENCIA LIBERTAD".
